Summary:

We are searching for Senior Development Associate focusing in Special Events – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will coordinate all aspects of hospital sponsored events, community events, stewardship events and miscellaneous events as assigned by the Assistant Director, Special Events. You will share informal supervision responsibilities for administrative assistant:

event tasks as assigned, processing invoices, handling of event registrations, processing event donations, etc.

Responsibilities :

  • Plans and implements all aspects of assigned hospital sponsored events
  • Cultivates relationships with sponsors and committee members
  • Evaluates assigned events and makes recommendations for improvement based on the event history
  • Serves as Hospital representative for assigned community and miscellaneous events
  • Works with various teams in the Development Office and throughout the hospital’s Integrated Delivery System to implement events
  • Submits event information for Developments magazine
  • Assists in filling event tables and golf tournament teams
  • Represents Hospital at community events as needed
  • Resolves and researches miscellaneous phone call
  • Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to inspire and guide individuals

 



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of fundraising event planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation
  • Three (3) year of experience in communications, marketing or fund raising preferred
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously, work with a variety of people and plan, set goals and meet goals
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
