We are searching for a Application Architect-someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for application and processing architectures and designs, develops, amends, optimizes, and certifies application and system design of Epic and associated Integrated Delivery Systems, responsible for the identification and resolution of the application information flow, the application integration and the required infrastructure to support application requirements. In this position, you will make decisions regarding controlling the system development process, assigning proper system development responsibilities to team members, development of analysis and design of system and programs, development and maintenance of system problem analysis and resolution techniques, generation and testing of program code and documentation of program code. Lastly, you will be responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job’s purpose and essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate new development and make sure it is consistent and well-integrated with existing information data structure
  • Lead and engage in business analysis, information acquisition analysis and design, data access analysis and design, archive and recovery strategy, security, and change management
  • Appraises effectiveness of systems flow, data usage, and manual or automated processes to identify ineffectiveness or inefficiency of the system
  • Controls system configuration and development process by establishing standards, measuring work in process, interpreting results, and taking corrective action
  • Performs independent programming for segments of complex problems according to the technical specifications and standard system implementation techniques.
  • Initiates and implements new programming techniques, methods, procedures, approaches, and standards
  • Assures coded logic performs as required by testing and correcting programs via trial runs, and combines individual programs into a job stream
  • Implements modifications to the system to accommodate new or changing requirements
  • Leads development and maintenance programming activities with management, other Information Services personnel, users, or vendors during all phases of the system life cycle
  • Serves as Information Services department representative in meetings with other Integrated Delivery System components in developing data processing solutions designed to solve practical IDS problems


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ten (10) years of major system design and implementation experience *Direct work experience at the Epic Systems Corporation © will be counted at a premium, with every one (1) year of Epic Systems Corporation © experience counted as two (2) years of experience
  • Crystal Reports experience
  • SQL Programming experience 
  • Knowledge of relational databases, appropriate programming languages, data structures, associated computer hardware, computer networking, a variety of operating systems and client/server, web data processing technique
  • Knowledge of Epic EHR modules
  • In depth knowledge of current application and system development techniques
  • Ability to demonstrate logic, analytical and effective verbal and written communication skills, team-oriented work habits, proven interpersonal skills and to adapt to different levels of technical experience
  • Preferred:
  • Master of Science
  • Management or project leadership
  • QlikView/Qlik Sense experience
