We are searching for an Environmental Services Lead – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform scheduled and requested cleaning and maintenance of the hospital floors in accordance with departmental and hospital standards. You will monitor and direct staff activities as prescribed by immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities :

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dispenses cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Utilizes cleaning chemicals according to their appropriate applications using the manufacturer’s recommended specifications
  • Cleans and maintains floors in assigned areas following established schedule and prescribed methods
  • Assists in the cleaning of emergency spills as observed or on request and responds within five minutes utilizing prescribed methods
  • Sweeps, mops, details corners, burnishes, shower scrubs, strips and waxes as directed by supervisor
  • If assigned, responds to and performs check out duties within a designated time frame to ensure prompt turnaround of rooms
  • Identifies and appropriately resolves space quality deficiencies in assigned areas to maintain space quality through improvement of efficiency, outcomes, and customer service
  • Maintains tools and equipment on a daily basis according to departmental standards and manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Follows departmental communication plan to ensure accurate understanding and appropriate response to information related to job performance and employee expectations
  • Adheres to approved departmental dress code and maintains professional appearance







  • Two years’ experience with floor care cleaning and maintenance (high school diploma or equivalent may substitute for one year experience)
  • Knowledge of usage and maintenance of floor care equipment
  • Ability to use floor care equipment, communicate effectively, and follow verbal and/or written instructions
  • Requires satisfactory completion of departmental training classes for Floor Care Techs
