Summary:

We are searching for an Ultrasound Generalist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll perform exceptional quality routine and specialized Ultrasound procedures at the request licensed independent practitioner for interpretation by radiologists.

Responsibilities :

  • Determines type and dose of contrast agent to be administered based on patient’s age, weight and medical/physical status
  • Works independently to perform routine procedures, STAT, urgent, on-call, and potentially intraoperative Ultrasound cases
  • Maintains appropriate inventory as indicated by posted par-levels and updates supply lists when items are needed
  • Provides information to patients, health care providers, students, and the public concerning the role and responsibilities of individuals in the profession
  • Recognizes examination findings that may require immediate clinical response and notifies the interpreting radiologist
  • Demonstrates systems functionalities
  • Accurately performs functions independently and serves as a resource to others
  • Assists in departmental performance improvement plan alongside other managers


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) awarded by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Bilingual skills preferred
