We are searching for a Nursing Supervisor Outpatient – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will manage daily clinical and personnel activities. You will also provide administrative support to the Manager, Ambulatory Operations. Lastly, you will be required to participate and coordinate the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care at the unit level.

Responsibilities :


  • Maintains clinical competency, by ensuring that the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of the patient are met, within a family-centered care environment
  • Supports staff in the development of their schedules and monitors effectiveness of process on staffing needs 
  • Participates in the decision-making processes for hiring new employees 
  • Utilizes an inter-disciplinary approach to coach and develop practice-based staff to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care in a safe environment 
  • Assists in developing clinical staff along the novice to expert continuum 
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with health care team and works to eliminate communication barriers 
  • Serves as a liaison between physicians, families, clinical staff, business staff and ancillary departments 
  • Demonstrates accountability for cost effective management of equipment and supplies while ensuring the department achieves patient care goals 
  • Supports the implementation of practice goals and communication of the IDS (integrated delivery system) strategic plan to staff where applicable 
  • Facilitates staff participation and participates in the Quality Outcomes Program and/or practice based quality initiatives for developing and monitoring clinical outcomes that demonstrate clinical nursing excellence





  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), Associate Degree in Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing 
  • Current RN Licensure by the Texas Board of Nurses 
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience in related field 
  • Knowledge of Word processing 
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts 
  • Ability to operate a personal computer 
  • Ability to monitor the quality of nursing care
