Summary:

We are searching for a Director of Business Operations and Support Services – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll effectively direct the support services and business operations functions.

 

In this position you will lead and oversee efficient and cost-effective support services across the Hospital, including overseeing collection processes for patient and guarantor information to support an effective revenue cycle process. You will be responsible to provide leadership, direction and support to the continued development of strategic initiatives, including business plans to support these initiatives. Lastly, you will provide outstanding customer service, develop strong relationships with executives, directors and all other leadership positions across the organization, identify and resolve problems quickly and appropriately, and ensure communication is maximized.

Responsibilities :

 

  • Provide support to senior leadership in setting the strategic and financial direction for the hospital
  • Manage the Facilities Operations, Plant Operations & Maintenance, and Environmental Services functions ensuring all key processes are aligned with the goals and objectives
  • Manage the Revenue Cycle Functions, which may include Patient Access (scheduling, registration, admissions), and insurance authorization, ensuring all key processes are aligned with the goals and objectives
  • Develops and grows the competencies of the Support Services and Business Operations management team through team development, implementation, and support of the specific training for the various responsibilities
  • Manages Pharmacy Clinical Operations, including ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, quality standards and audits related to safety, and pharmacy care delivery
  • Manage the Security Services functions ensuring all key processes are aligned with the goals and objectives
  • Oversee operations regarding personnel, electronic security systems and equipment, access control measures and related customer services
  • Manage the Food Services functions ensuring all key processes are aligned with the goals and objectives
  • May direct quality initiatives in collaboration with the Chief Medical officer, physicians and departmental directors


Qualifications:

 

 

  • Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare, or related technical field
  • Five (5) years of management experience in a healthcare organization
  • Ability to use computerized accounting systems, word processing, spreadsheets, communicate effectively verbally and in writing with subordinates, executive level management board members and professional level positions outside the organization
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices to include; facilities maintenance, engineering plant operations, preventive and predictive maintenance, and environmental services
  • Specific knowledge of The Joint Commission Environment (TJC) of Care Standards and Life Safety Code requirements is essential
  • Thorough understanding of engineering documentation including mechanical, electrical and plumbing blueprints, specification manuals, and operating manuals is required

 

Preferred

 

  • Four (4) years progressive leadership experience in a large healthcare organization
  • Extensive experience in Facilities Management in a large healthcare organization
  • Professional Engineering Licensure
