We are searching for a Research Nurse, Surgery - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll coordinate, direct, and implement clinical research projects in the Department of Pediatric General Surgery.

Develops the research data collection tools for the clinical research projects Validates the research data collection tools Implements the research data collection tools Provides support to the Director as needed



Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas At least one (1) year of experience as an RN, preferably in a hospital acute or critical care setting 1 year of (pediatric) research experience strongly preferred Broad knowledge of nursing practices and healthcare processes in a hospital setting; policies and procedures; and state and federal regulatory requirements Ability to utilize a personal computer (basic skills are required, advanced skills are preferred); computer skills include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to work autonomously to accomplish projects and achieve the goals set at the beginning of each project Ability to work under time limitations Ability to display initiative Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including working effectively with medical staff and other disciplines Ability to utilize public speaking skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects Ability to display excellent organizational skills
