Summary:

We are searching for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – someone who works well in a fast-paced managed care setting for our Health Plan. In this position, you must have the ability to bring together an understanding of information systems, analytics and healthcare/finance operations to identify and advocate for opportunities for improvement when they arise. In this position you’ll serve as a senior subject matter expert in Health Plan data and its transformation into analytics and business intelligence, working on assignments of moderate to high complexity and scope. Lastly you will participate in cross-functional meetings, projects and teams to advance Health Plan initiatives.

We need someone who is strong analyzing data and determining what a customer needs from the request for it. You will work on a team with five other analysts who handle both clinical and non-clinical requests.  It will help if you have strong Excel skills, have worked with SQL, and have experience with EDW (enterprise data warehouse) development.  Qlikview is nice to have experience with as well.

Responsibilities :

  • Gathers initial business requirements from clients, making recommendations based on subject matter expertise
  • Refines business requirements through collaboration with client and data/business process stakeholders
  • Works from new developed implementation plan or existing documentation, independently or in project team as needed
  • Collaborates with data architects to bring new data or data transformations into EDW and applications. Performs queries or collaborates with TCHP Information Services to acquire other needed data
  • Designs applications, reports, and processes using TCHP formats and standards
  • Participates in clinical process/quality/business process improvement committees and project teams, providing subject matter expertise to support departmental and Health Plan initiatives
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement in client, Business Intelligence, Information Services or vendor practices and proposes and designs solutions
  • Enters and updates all work assignments and tasks in the tracking application designated by TCHP Information Systems
  • Enters and updates all source code in the source control application designated by TCHP Information Systems
  • Attends planning meetings and uses planning methodology designated by TCHP Information Systems


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or other related field is preferred
  • Master’s degree in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or other related field
  • Exeprience with Excel and SQL along with EDW
  • Four years of experience in business intelligence/analytics/decision support
  • Three years of experience in managing projects
  • Experience analyzing and implementing solutions in a health care environment
  • Experience working with IS resources and leading teams
