We are searching for a Pharmacy Manager- someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll provide support and ensure smooth execution of the daily pharmacy operations. Additionally, you’ll promote and identify strategies to provide safe, effective services. You’ll also provide patient care in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0-Adult).
Think you’ve got what it takes?
•Assists in the daily management of the responsible pharmacy area that includes: Purchasing and Inventory, Controlled Substances Services, Automated Dispensing System, Pharmacy database and floorstock management, Controlled substances audits
•Performs data collection to support regulatory requirements and for quality improvement measures to support the understanding of operational safety and effectiveness
•Supports implementation of projects and programs
•Responsible for training and development activities for area personnel
•Addresses personnel, operational and scheduling issues and needs
•Conducts routine audits to ensure compliance
•Reports financial performance on a monthly basis
•Assures that new staff attends hospital orientation within 30 days of employment
•Submits performance planning documents, ongoing planning materials, action plan and department goals
•BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
•Three (3) years of pharmacy experience (a combined total 3 years of pharmacy work experience and/or pharmacy residency)
•License to practice pharmacy in Texas (RPH) or to be eligible for licensure
•Preferred proficence with Microsoft Office
