The outpatient building, which opened in October 2016, includes 72 exam rooms and clinics for major pediatric specialties including cancer, cardiology, allergy/immunology/rheumatology and diabetes/endocrinology. Summary:

We are searching for a Guest Services Representative - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll provide assistance within a comprehensive guest services program that helps meet the unique needs of patients and families at our organization, to include directions, transportation and lodging assistance, problem resolution, as well as patient and family programming.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides wayfinding and general assistance to patients and families
  • Informs families of services available within hospital (Social Services, Family Relations, Child Life) and contacts appropriate departments to assist families
  • Provides transportation and lodging assistance to families
  • Work with patients, families and staff to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Actively seeks out families to provide a high level of personal attention, as evidenced by family report and supervisor observation
  • Identify issues related to lobby experience and provide feedback to leadership
  • Provides direction assistance to families traveling to our organization
  • Answers direction line in a timely manner
  • Provides accurate instruction in how to travel to hospital, using appropriate resources
  • Handles patient satisfaction issues and concerns
  • Ensure that issues and concerns raised by patients and their families are handled in an effective and expedient manner
  • Documents daily work to ensure accurate data reporting
  • Documents service recovery activities, including service issue
  • Other duties to support Volunteer Services
  • Interviews volunteers according to established procedures as set forth by Hospital and departmental guidelines in order to place appropriately


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • One (1) year of experience in a healthcare/customer service setting
  • Spanish speaking is strongly preferred
