We are searching for an Assistant Director of Enterprise Business Applications for Business Services concentrating on Oracle PeopleSoft – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll provide support to the director in planning, budgeting, program initiation, execution and support of major business applications, including the implementation of new systems, upgrades to existing systems and/or connections with other systems, and extensive end-user training and education. You will be responsible as the Service Owner for specified services identified in the Business and Technical Service Catalog. Lastly, you will be expected to maintain performance within agreed upon service levels, provide integrated service delivery, and continuously improve the quality of service.
This person will be working primarily with our Oracle PeopleSoft system, so you should have both experience with it as well as a managerial background. This is more of a functional role rather than a technical one, and we will need someone who has gone through an upgrade of Oracle PeopleSoft successfully. Can you hear what a customer or end user is saying and then translate it to the people who are more technical? We also would prefer candidates with at least some exposure to healthcare, although your management and technical skills can make up for that in some situations. This will be a manager over a 14 person team that will work in the medical center.
