Summary:

We are searching for a Technical Supervisor – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll provide effective guidance and operation of the Hematology sections of the Laboratory in compliance with Departmental and Institutional goals. Lastly you will coordinate, technical procedures to ensure that high quality laboratory services and testing are provided to patients in a timely and cost effective manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with AD and/or Manager with financial operations
  • Coordinates/Supports Continuing Education Programs
  • Maintains integrity of system, file maintenance, report, label, and collection list printing as related to assignments and requirements for section/shift
  • Works with the Manager to develop and maintain a quality program for Hematology/Coagulation to include setting quality control performance policies, calibration/calibration verification review of quality assurance data, and equipment.
  • Oversees the quality control/quality assurance programs
  • Recognizes and solves administrative/operational problems
  • In conjunction with the Manager and Medical directors, develops new methodologies and procedures; coordinate the performance of method evaluations to include technical performance ease of use/performance, quality control, maintenance; collate evaluation data for review; make recommendation for implementation

 

 



Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science Degree
  • 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting, one (1) of which is in the area of specialization
  • AMT - American Medical Technologist From Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CLS
  • MLS-ASCP - Cert-Medical Lab Scientist by ASCP
  • CLS - Cert Laboratory Science by NCA
  • H-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Hematology By ASCP
  • M-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Microbiology By ASCP
  • MP-ASCP - Cert-Tech Molecular Pathology By ASCP
  • G-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Cytogenetics By ASCP
