Summary:

We are searching for an Inventory Control Coordinator — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, maintain the perpetual, accurate status of the PeopleSoft inventory system, to be responsible for the integrity of the hospital supply inventory valued over 250,000, to reconcile all inventory discrepancies, to charge appropriate departments for issued goods, and to maintain an accurate and organized filing system of inventory transactions.

Responsibilities :

  • Verifies stock issued to requisitioning departments
  • Reviews inventory to determine appropriateness of inventory levels, item attributes (i.e. re- order points / re-order quantities)
  • Places daily orders for supplies
  • Performs cycle counts and reconciles any discrepancies of inventory balances and patient charges
  • Receives returned merchandise from departments
  • Maintains the accuracy of the inventory receiving process
  • Expedites loan and borrow transactions
  • Maintains files
  • Facilitates meetings or informal training sessions for inventory activity, as needed
  • Performs other job related duties within the time frame, as assigned

 



Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Inventory Control Coordinator – prefer 3 years in material management
