Summary:

We are searching for a Floor Care Technician who can thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this position, you’ll be asked to perform scheduled and requested cleaning and maintenance of the hospital floors in accordance with departmental and hospital standards. We need someone with the ability to use floor care equipment, communicate effectively, and follow verbal and/or written instructions.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs floor care in assigned areas according to standards established by management team
  • Dispenses cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Utilizes cleaning chemicals according to their appropriate applications
  • Cleans and maintains floors in assigned areas following established schedule Sweeps, mops, details corners, burnishes, shower scrubs, strips and waxes
  • Demonstrates ownership for responsibilities in assigned areas Identifies and appropriately resolves space quality deficiencies in assigned areas to maintain space quality through improvement of efficiency, outcomes, and customer service
  • Ensures adequate supply inventories to perform daily job responsibilities
  • Utilizes supplies in cost effective manner
  • Demonstrates accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic, teamwork and effective communication skills
  • Follows departmental communication plan to ensure accurate understanding and appropriate response to information related to job performance and employee expectations
  • Responds promptly and appropriately to all forms of Hospital communications including but not limited to pagers, radios, phone, e-mail messages, verbal, and written communications
  • Obeys all City, State and Federal laws, especially in the use of chemicals and equipment by Hospital/departmental policies, usage manuals and supplementals

 



Qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience with floor care cleaning and maintenance (satisfactory completion of department’s formal floor care training program may be substituted for work experience requirement)
  • Knowledge of usage and maintenance of floor care equipment
