Summary:

We are searching for a Dispensing Pharmacist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll promote pharmaceutical care in Specialty Pharmacy by managing the medication process, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and resolving actual drug-related problems while physically present in the Specialty Pharmacy and reporting issues directly to the Manager, Specialty Pharmacy should they arise. Additionally, you will be providing direct supervision and oversight during the preparation and dispensing of medications within the Specialty Pharmacy, including oversight of pharmacy personnel.

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures medications meet the highest standards
  • Participates in the education of patients, care givers, and the community
  • Supports patient safety systems
  • Communicates with others
  • Engages in shift management
  • Supervises and ensures accuracy of technician preparation of all pharmaceutical preparations
  • Participates in study initiation, maintenance and closure


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D.
  • RPH - Pharmacist certification in the state of Texas
  • The pharmacist in this role shall be a licensed practitioner who holds a valid, unrestricted license to conduct clinical activities
