We are searching for a Perioperative Quality Regulatory Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll work collaboratively with Department of Surgery Administrators, physicians, and Perioperative services leadership to ensure exceptional delivery of care by continuously improving quality processes and standards. You will work to ensure the delivery of high quality, developmentally appropriate patient and family centered care in a cost-effective manner for surgical patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for the continuous assessment and improvement of standardized quality of care delivered to surgical patients through the assessment of all clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages the coordination of the quality program of the Perioperative Services department
  • Monitors ongoing compliance to standardized perioperative practice standards in all operative, procedural, PACU and sterile processing locations system-wide
  • Works to increase compliance across the system
  • Manages the coordination and oversight of the American College of Surgeons Children’s Surgical Verification


  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field of study
  • RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Two years of perioperative, quality or regulatory experience
  • Green belt, black belt or lean six sigma certification is preferred
  • Experience with UNOS, CMS or The Joint Commission surveys is preferred
