Summary:

We are searching for a Pathology Outreach Coord– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will plan, implement and facilitate efficient operations of Section(s) and/or shifts of the Laboratory in compliance with Departmental and Institutional goals. To coordinate Section activities to ensure that high quality laboratory services and testing are provided to patients in a timely and cost effective manner

Responsibilities :

  • Identifies and contacts potential Pathology Outreach clients with the purpose of selling TCH laboratory services
  • Conduct business meeting for clients and internal Pathology leaders
  • Prepares proforma for new clients
  • Maintains good customer relationships with all established and potential clients
  • Reconciles customer complaints
  • Develop reports for tracking Pathology Outreach financial performance and makes recommendations for future business direction
  • Liaison/communicates with other sections, departments, physicians, nursing personnel, vendors, and other clients of Pathology Outreach
  • Oversees regulatory compliance with all local, state, and national statutes related to Laboratory business development activities
  • Responsible for working with billing vendor to assure all Pathology Outreach activities is billed appropriately; monitors collections and works with billing vendor to maximize collections
  • Responsible for financial operations of Pathology outreach activities

 

 

 

 

 

 



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science
  • 4 years of Experience in a laboratory setting
  • MT-ASCP - Cert-Medical Technician, MLS-ASCP - Cert-Medical Lab Scientist, MB-ASCP - Cert-Tech Molecular Biology, MP-ASCP - Cert-Tech Molecular Pathology, BB-ASCP - Cert-Tech Blood Bank, C -ASCP - Cert-Technologist in Chemistry, H-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Hematology, M-ASCP - Cert-Technologist Microbiology from American Society for Clinical Pathology Preferred
  • CLS - Cert Laboratory Science from National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel preferred
  • 2 years of direct laboratory sales experience preferred
  • 4 years of Involvement in a hospital-based laboratory outreach program preferred
