Summary:

We are searching for a Manager of Speech Language & Learning– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will oversee the management of clinical operations in Speech, Language & Learning. You will also provide direct services to patients by ensuring the delivery of high quality patient and family centered care involving the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with speech language, and learning disorders. To provide patient care in a manner that is developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (0 – Adult).

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures the delivery of quality, cost effective patient care within a family-centered care environment by participating in and/or leading at least 1 performance improvement activity a year that improves patient flow, customer satisfaction or employee satisfaction
  • Monitors and meets staffing requirement and productivity levels by establishing staffing guidelines based on patient needs and budgetary guidelines within review at least annually
  • Provides coaching of individual team members by providing structure feedback for each staff member through yearly development plans and informal and/or formal follow-up at least twice a year
  • Participates in various IDS projects as appropriate
  • Provides direct patient care for both children and adults as necessary in accordance with departmental guidelines
  • Attends continuing education workshops, seminars and inservices to maintain licensure and fulfills all mandatory education requirements
  • Ensures that JCAHO requirements specific to your department are fulfilled but also understand the linkage between your department’s requirements and those of the integrated delivery system


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • 5 years experience in pediatric speech-language pathology
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
