We are searching for an HVAC Mechanic I, someone who has what it takes to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this position, you'll perform both demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.

Responsibilities :

Responsibilities will include assignments in spaces requiring safe work practices, compliance with OSHA requirements, effective communication, and customer service skills



  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by management team
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem solving maintenance duties for HVAC and associated systems and equipment according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for HVAC and associated systems according to standards established by management team
  • Demonstrates work product meets the expected criteria
  • Demonstrate accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic and teamwork
  • Demonstrate accountability for effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate accountability for management skill sets
  • Consistently demonstrates positive, responsible leadership and guidance


  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as an HVAC service-related technician, required
  • Commercial HVAC State B License with E endorsement or Stationary Engineer III License, required
  • Hospital experience, preferred
  • High-rise HVAC systems experience, preferred
  • Refrigeration certification, preferred
  • Ability to use maintenance equipment including hand-held power tools, to use computers for building automation and computerized maintenance management systems, and to resource with others effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate management skills such as planning, coordination, estimating, and scheduling skills
