We are searching for a Director of Radiology— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll direct and maintain development of the Department's vision for direction, growth and leadership for all aspects of radiological responsibilities in the Hospital system. You will be responsible for collaborating with leaders across campuses to enable/operationalize the vision for Radiology services. Lastly, you will ensure that adequate resources, training and the highest standards for pediatric health care services are provided in a competent and and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities :

  • Advises and assists in the preparation and administration of capital and operating budgets of the Department.
  • Conducts and determines proper billing, coding and pricing for all categories within the radiology service line
  • Facilitates accomplishment of departmental goals in terms of direction, growth and needs.
  • Directs and appraises the assessment of imaging technology to ensure the highest quality, most cost effective and safest radiology procedures
  • Oversees all patient care activity in collaboration with Service Chief to ensure compliance with proper radiation safety Practices
  • Audits Quality Control review to ensure the highest quality examinations
  • Directs and maintains proper staffing levels, educational programs for staff development and administers staff compliance with licensure requirements applicable to state and federal regulations
  • Establishes on-going review of departmental policy and procedures to maintain operational competency of the radiology department activity to ensure compliance with NRC, TDH, BRH, TJC, CAP, Medicare, state regulations, and all other applicable regulations
  • Acts as administrative liaison to medical staff for all operational aspects of radiology services provided


  • Master's Degree of Science in radiologic technology, management, business administration or related
  • ARRT - Amer Regis Radiologic Technol American Registry of Radiologic Technology
  • CMRT - Cert Med Radiologic Techngst Texas Department of Health/Bureau of Radiation Control
  • 10 years of Radiology Experience
  • 5 years of Supervisory management experience
