We are searching for an Outpatient Staff Nurse - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, youâ€™ll provide direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, patient advocacy, supervision and coordination of care given by others, and the coordination of services required for patients outside the ambulatory care setting in a manner that is age and developmentally appropriate.

â€¢Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas
â€¢1 year of professional nursing experience
â€¢Knowledge of nursing functions, basic anatomy/physiology, and diagnostic procedures
â€¢Ability to demonstrate and perform generic and unit-based/critical competencies including the specific care of age and diagnosis appropriate for patients
â€¢Ability to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills
â€¢Ability to utilize time and resources in a cost effective manner
â€¢Ability to demonstrate flexibility and good verbal/written communication skills
â€¢Ability to perform delegation
â€¢Ability to operate basic medical equipment and read/analyze basic medical equipment
