We are searching for an Assistant Director of Pharmacy— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll be responsible for overall operation and quality of pharmacy services, including administrative, clinical, distributive, and technical activities of the department. You will also oversee and ensure an effective and safe medication use process. To provide patient care in a manner developmentally appropriate of the ages of the patients served.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides administrative direction for Pharmacy to include ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are met through the creation and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures


  • Provides clinical direction and support for Pharmacy to include but not limited to ongoing clinical initiatives with respect to the medication usage process and performance improvement



  • Provides the appropriate level of pharmaceutical care services to patients of the facility by overseeing the medication use process, people and systems



  • Develops leadership skills and provides leadership development opportunities for staff



  • Establishes priorities and educates the staff on critical success factors for the department



  • Ensures that Joint Commission requirements specific to the department are fulfilled but also understand the linkage between the department’s requirements and those of the integrated delivery system



  • Collaborates with colleagues in other departments to ensure all Joint Commission requirements are met




  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy



  • Ph.D. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)



  • RPH – Pharmacist



  • 5 years pharmacy work or pharmacy residency experience



  • 2 years formal management experience
