We are searching for an Ultrasound Specialist– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform exceptional quality routine and specialized Ultrasound procedures at the request licensed independent practitioner for interpretation by radiologists. The Specialist integrates scientific knowledge; technical skills, patient interaction and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information, and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The Specialist must demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities :

  • Checks room daily for adequate stock necessary to facilitate continuous exam flow
  • Maintains appropriate inventory as indicated by posted par levels and updates supply lists when items are needed
  • Provides information to patients, health care providers, students and the public concerning the role and responsibilities of individuals in the profession
  • Follows procedure protocol including performance of venipuncture, and administration of prescribed mediations
  • Expert knowledge of information management systems: demonstrates systems functionalities, accurately performs functions independently and serves as a resource to others
  • In collaboration with the manager, assists in departmental performance improvement plan
  • Positions self in challenging situations and responds with confidence, professionalism, and accuracy in the face of multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Network, coordinate activities, become a sought after contact person within the working group


  • Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program
  • RDMS - Cert-Reg Diag. Medical Sono, RDMS-AB - RDMS in Abdomen, RDMS-AE - RDMS in Adult Echocardiography, RDMS-BR - RDMS in Breast Specialty, RDMS-FE - RDMS in Fetal Echocardiography, RDMS-NE - RDMS in Neurosonology, RDMS-OB - Reg Diag Med Sonographer OBGYN, RDMS-VT - RDMS in Vascular Technology, RVT - Cert-Registered Vascular TECH, RMSK - Reg Musculoskeletal Sonography, VS - Cert-Vascular Sonography, OR BS - Cert-Breast Sonography required 
  • 3 years of ultrasound experience
