Summary:

We are on the hunt for our next Senior Orthopedic Technician-someone who can thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position you'll provide orthopedic support services to patients presenting to the emergency center with orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides casting assistance to all members of the orthopedic service and Orthopedic physician team
  • Applies casts, splints and performs basic hardware maintenance
  • Promotes customer service, patient safety, communication, and interaction in the clinic
  • Informs patients, staff, and providers of delays in patient flow that are occurring inside and outside of clinic
  • Initiates and supports patient flow in the clinic by screening patient's and placing them in an exam room
  • Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (some college preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience doing basic casting, splinting, and hardware maintenance is required
  • Ability to do basic casting, splinting, and hardware maintenance
  • Must be able to proficiently operate a personal computer and basic clinic/patient care, office equipment; demonstrate interpersonal skills; demonstrate good verbal communication skills; demonstrate good time management skills and provide excellent customer service skills
  • Orthopedic tech certification preferred
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
