We are searching for an Assistant Director Coding Compliance /Clinical Documentation– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will direct all coding and clinical documentation improvement efforts to ensure timely and accurate coding of all services. You will direct processes to obtain accurate physician documentation to support appropriate severity of illness, risk of mortality, and improvement of the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation

Responsibilities :

  • Ensures key processes have standards of performance that are measured, reported, and addressed
  • Directs key processes by monitoring and reporting performance statistics and explaining variances and adjustments when made
  • Resolves coding and clinical documentation errors/ issues/problems by consulting with physicians, other departments, insurance companies, attorneys, and other additional avenues available to resolve the issue
  • Responsible for timely, thorough data collection and coding compliance with regulatory agencies to include federal, state, and local entities
  • Coordinates and/or directs process improvement opportunities
  • Drives tangible and measurable improvements of key processes through the leadership, training, and mentoring of the team
  • Updates and/or establishes patient financial services policies and procedures to ensure that the Hospital is compliant with governmental regulations, accrediting bodies and other statutes


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or Clinical Field
  • 3 years of Supervisory experience
  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare related industry
