Summary:

We are searching for a Manager of Coding Compliance— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll effectively manage the coding and auditing process so that Hospital claims are coded in a timely manner and according to coding guidelines. You will also be responsible for effectively managing accounts holding for coding and review processes for accuracy. Lastly, you must maintain consistent, timely, and compliant coding practices.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages and oversees all coding staff and activities
  • Performs/manages audit and review of medical records process to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines and coding guidelines
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives to meet hospital, departmental, and area goals and strategies
  • Documents the performance improvement and measures success as reported quarterly to Director
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives to meet hospital, departmental, and area goals and strategies
  • Documents the performance improvement and measures success as reported quarterly to Director
  • Conducts NCCI Edits and Medical Audit Reviews


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree of business, healthcare, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience coding inpatient and outpatient records using the most current coding systems

  • CCC-P - Cert Coding Spec-Physician American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
  • CCS - Cert-Cert Coding Specialist American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
  • CIPC - Certified Inpatient Coder American Academy of Professional Coders
  • COC - Certified Outpatient Coder American Academy of Professional Coders
  • CPC - Cert-Cert Professional Coder American Academy of Professional Coders
  • CPC-A - Cert Prof Coder - Apprentice American Academy of Professional Coders
  • RHIA - Cert-Reg Health Inform. Admins American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
