Summary:

We are searching for a Quality Improvement Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will partner with the Quality Medical Director and departmental leadership to achieve high quality, reliable, and cost-effective health care. This role will also facilitate departmental and cross-departmental strategic projects using methodologies that include, but are not limited to Root Cause Analysis, Intense Analysis, Model for Improvement and Six Sigma principles. Responsibilities :

  • Partners with the medical director/departmental leaders to facilitate and conduct performance improvement and safety activities

 

 

  • Assists with the education and implementation of JCAHO standards and CMS regulation requirements as they pertain to quality and safety (Quality and Outcomes department will inform of any necessary activity)

 

 

  • Participates in and coordinates committees, task forces, and project meetings

 

 

  • Assists with peer review activities as requested by the service

 

 

  • Meets ongoing requirement for education and development

 



Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required

 

 

  • Registered Nurses License from the Texas Board of Nurses Required

 

 

  • Basic Life Support Certificate from American Heart Association

 

 

  • 2 years of professional clinical experience in the area of clinical expertise
