We are searching for a Manager of Nursing, Clinical Research— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll manage daily operations, personnel activities, and research compliance oversight for the Clinical Research Center. The Nurse Manager also participates and coordinates delivery of high quality care and research processes.


Preferred: pediatric experience

                 leadership experience

                 oncology experience

                 certification in specialty

Responsibilities :





  • Accountable for the management of direct report personnel functions including use of the nursing process, critical thinking, as well as best research and ethical practices



  • Develops, coaches and counsels to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care in accordance with the research protocol and as clinically indicated



  • Supports staff in development of their schedules and aligns staffing and patient scheduling to maximize effective and efficient care and timeliness of research



  • Participates in quality initiatives for the purpose of developing and monitoring clinical and research outcomes that demonstrate nursing and research excellence



  • Maintains fiscal responsibility for the unit through assisting with the development of capital and operational budgets, accountability for cost effective management of equipment and supplies and ensuring appropriate charging processes for research patients



  • Actively manages databases to assure appropriate tracking of protocol approvals, including financials, patient visits and total CRC patient population on each study



  • Works closely with Research Administration, the Research Resources Office (RRO) and Study Principal Investigators/Research Coordinators to properly adhere to compliance with all aspects of finances as they relate to the CRC



  • Works with the cross departmental team to assure appropriate policies, procedures and process exist to facilitate adherence to all aspects of the clinical trial



  • Participates in preliminary meetings with CRC administrative staff and research teams to discuss processes for admitting and caring for subjects enrolled on CRC-approved clinical research trials









  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing



  • 3 years of Clinical Research experience



  • RN - Lic-Registered Nurses
