We are searching for a Contracts Specialist– for a brand new Strategic Sourcing team. In this position, you will provide skilled professional duties relating to the initiation and completion of contractual arrangements entered into by and on behalf of hospital entities in a manner that enables the hospital to conduct its business effectively and in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies and procedures and good business practices. Duties include coordinating the vendor selection, contract initiation and negotiation, and contract review and approval processes for business arrangements.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinates, drafts and finalizes Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal
  • Reviews, negotiates, drafts and facilitates award for assigned contracts and amendments
  • Answers customer questions regarding the contracts process in a professional, courteous and timely manner
  • Maintains positive working relationships with customers and vendors
  • Demonstrates and maintains strong professional knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and area(s) of specialty
  • Edits and maintains RFI, RFP and contract files
  • Inputs and maintains Purchase Orders that directly relate to assigned contracts
  • Collaborates with other Contract Specialists to improve effectiveness of the Contract Administration function


  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
  • 5 years of contracting, preferably in a healthcare environment
