We are searching for a Cash Applications Processor– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will maintain the safety and security of the cashier fund and manage the cash-on-hand received in the department in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Receive funds from both patient and non-patient areas, prepare those funds for deposit, and deliver the funds to the authorized courier(s) for transport to the designated bank(s) in a manner that safeguards the assets in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures
  • Ensure the CAP’s fund and all patient/non-patient receipts received after deposit cutoff are secured in departmental safes
  • Verify and reconcile funds received for deposit from the various patient and non-patient related areas on cash receipts form with an expected 95% accuracy rate
  • Report deposit discrepancies to the area management for resolution
  • Track and finalize any unresolved discrepancies within a reasonable timeframe
  • Ensure deposit packages are fully completed for authorized courier pickup with no more than 4 documented instances of courier late deposit fees per year
  • Review and process employee assistance program payments in accordance with the hospital's levels of authority
  • Provide patient check cashing services and front end staff change fund replenishments
  • Replenish cash drawer funds
  • Complete a Cashier Fund Replenishment Request Form and email to Financial Reporting, Assistant Treasurer and Treasury Analyst for fulfillment
  • Provide for the exchange of currency for the gift shops, valet services, food court, and clinics
  • Perform and assist with projects assigned by management within the specified time period
  • Consistently demonstrate an understanding and commitment to meeting customer service needs through cohesive teamwork, proactive and clear communication, and problem resolution skills


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of cash handling experience
  • Banking or related bookkeeping experience preferred
