We are searching for a Nursing Professional Development Specialist — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll manage interdisciplinary clinical learning and performance improvement initiatives to help improve clinical performance.


Preferred: NPD Certification

Responsibilities :


  • Designs/improves a framework for the cost-effective management of the eight key departmental processes



  • Acts as a change agent for complex house-wide processes and facilitates performance improvement



  • Plans, designs, develops and markets learning interventions that facilitate application of learning in the workplace as measured by documents developed participant feedback and peer and supervisor observation



  • Plans, designs, develops, coordinates, and evaluates departmental and interdisciplinary learning interventions to meet priority learning needs and demonstrate an improvement in performance



  • Precepts centralized educators and facilitates a timely, effective orientation as measured by performance of educators and orientation paperwork



  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in the integration of evidence in clinical decision making





  • Master’s Degree in clinical or education focus



  • RN license from Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners



  • 3 years of experience as an educator with responsibility for multiple units or departments
