Summary:

We are searching for a Surgery Coordinator – someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll independently perform surgery scheduling for multiple subspecialty surgical services, as well as assist in the coordination of providers’ schedules in order to effectively manage patient care, while providing excellent customer care in the ambulatory setting.

Qualifications:

 Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • A minimum of three (3) years of ambulatory clinic experience, preferably in a healthcare environment (i.e. medical assistant, front desk specialist, administrative assistant)
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, graphics software and electronic medical record system
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, basic bookkeeping, math and secretarial duties
  • Ability to provide effective verbal and written communications and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to operate a PC with proficiency in word processing, graphics and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Bilingual- Spanish preferred
