We are searching for Outpatient Nursing Supervisor – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll manage daily clinical and personnel activities as well as provide administrative support to the manager and ambulatory operations. The nurse supervisor participates and coordinates the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care at are unit level.


Strongly preferred: Management/Supervisory Experience

                            OB Experience x 2 Years, Minimum

                             Mental Health Experience

Responsibilities :

  • Technical Nursing Diploma, Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science Degree with focusing Nursing required
  • RN- Lic-Registered Nurses (Texas Board of Nurses) required
  • BLS-Cert-Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required
  • 2 years nursing experience in related field


  • Maintains clinical competency by ensuring that the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of the patient are met within a family-centered environment
  • Ensures the staffing needs of the department are adequately met
  • Utilizes an inter-disciplinary approach to coach and develop practice-based staff to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care in a safe environment
  • Assist in developing clinical staff along the novice to expert continuum
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with health care team and works to eliminate communication barriers
  • Serves of liaison between physicians, families, clinical staff, business staff and ancillary departments
  • Demonstrates accountability for cost effective management of equipment and supplies while ensuring the department achieves patient care goals
  • Supports the implementation of practice goals and communication of the IDS (integrated delivery system) strategic plan to staff where applicable
  • Facilitates the staff participation and participates in the Quality Outcomes Programs and/or practice-based quality initiatives for developing and monitoring clinical outcomes that demonstrate clinical nursing excellence
