Summary:

We are searching for a Clinical Social Worker— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll develop, plan and deliver pediatric social work services. This role will assist patients and families in making psychosocial adaptations to illnesses and render services in accordance with the chronological ages and developmental levels of the patients.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides evidence-based and developmentally appropriate screenings/assessments 
  • Develops, implements and updates comprehensive pediatric social work care plans 
  • Facilitates patient and family use of community resources 
  • Provides appropriate and focused patient and family counseling or therapy in accordance with the patients’ and family’s needs 
  • Collaborates with the providers regarding the patients’ progress, care and transitional plan 
  • Demonstrates creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and co-workers 
  • Participates and pursues professional and program development 
  • Provides clinical supervision for LMSWs working LCSW licensure

 

 



Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work required 
  • LCSW – Clinical Social Worker License from the State of Texas required 
  • 4 years of social work required 
  • Previous employment in healthcare, a healthcare specialization in schooling or a fieldwork practicum in healthcare preferred
