Summary:

We are searching for a Physical Therapy Clinical Generalist who can thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment. In this position you'll plan, evaluate, organize, and implement Physical Therapy treatment programs in a developmentally and age appropriate manner for patients ranging from age 0 to adulthood. We need someone who can be responsible for providing input into policies/protocols associated with the job and make routine decisions including appropriate utilization of therapy technicians to assist in patient care activities.

Responsibilities :

  • Completes patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with hospital and department guidelines
  • Develops an individualized plan of care based upon evaluation/reassessment findings according to hospital and departmental guidelines
  • Monitors patient response to treatment intervention
  • Provides clinical support to assigned outpatient clinic or specialty program
  • Provides instruction/education to patients and families/care givers
  • Documents information in patient medical record and billing
  • Participates in staff and student development
  • Works with departmental staff and other health care professionals by volunteering regularly to help others when time allows


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

  • Current Texas state license to practice physical therapy

  • Knowledge and understanding of rehabilitative care of patients with acute and chronic conditions, and knowledge of development from the ages of neonate to adulthood

  • Successful demonstration of the professional fundamental competencies

  • Must be courteous and supportive in dealing with hospital, administrative and departmental personnel, patients and parents with ability to honor confidentiality

  • Ability to independently treat patients by developing and following the established therapy plan of care

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of basic office equipment such as fax, copier and PC
