Summary:

We are searching for Interventional Radiology Advanced Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment while demonstrating critical thinking, and technical, leadership, and educational skills to provide the highest quality care for patients during various levels of exam completion.

Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrate leadership and technical expertise by supervising routine and specialized examinations, assigning tasks, and inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local institutional and departmental standards, rules, and laws
  • Ensure required PAR level inventory is on-hand for continuous exam flow
  • Actively manages workflow in communication with nursing, anesthesia, and other impacted parties
  • Schedules and documents preventative maintenance for equipment in a timely manner to ensure minimal impact to patients and operations
  • Recognizes signs and symptoms of an emergency and initiates emergency procedures
  • Demonstrates safety and quality standards by adhering strictly to Join Commission or other standards and initiatives and to applicable state and federal guidelines, licenses, and policies
  • Leads efforts for quality and process improvement
  • Ensures patients are imaged in a hazard free and safe environment
  • Responsible for training and developing staff and students on all new policies, procedures, and SOPS
  • Evaluates quality of work completed by the technologist and students


Qualifications:

  • Graduation of a formal diagnostic Radiology program is required
  • CMRT - Certification Medical Radiologic Technologist is required from the Texas Medical Board
  • R-ARRT license is required from American Registry of Radiology Technologists
  • 6 years of interventional Radiology experience
  • Master’s Degree in any radiology or healthcare field of study may substitute for two years of required experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in any radiology or healthcare field of study may substitute for one year of required experience
