Summary:

We are searching for a P-Tube Mechanic II – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Pneumatic Tube, Beds, and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Maintains documentation to accurately record equipment problems and failures specifically including but not limited to work order completeness
  • Demonstrates troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of components and functionality for an electric bed
  • Demonstrates work quality consistently creates a safe environment
  • Ensures good rapport and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers
  • Participates in all hospital and departmental training as required by leadership
  • Demonstrates effective, thorough verbal and written communication with customers and co-workers
  • Performs planned maintenance and repairs to beds and P-tube equipment of all types
  • Manages individual inventory following departmental inventory management and control parameters

 

 



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience as an equipment-related and/or a bed service-related technician
  • Knowledge of usage of maintenance equipment and diagnostics to facilitate trouble-shooting and repair processes
  • Ability to use maintenance equipment including hand-held power tools, to use computers for building automation and computerized maintenance management systems, and to resource with others effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate management skills such as planning, coordination, estimating, and scheduling skills
  • Ability to ensure requiring safe work practices, compliance with OSHA requirements, effective communication, and customer service skills
  • Hospital experience is preferred
  • High-rise pneumatic tube systems experience is preferred
  • Other mechanical equipment experience is preferred
