Summary:

We are searching for a Point of Care Testing Coordinator— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll coordinate and ensure the delivery of quality, timely, and cost-efficient point of care testing by standardizing test procedures, facilitating staff training, validating staff competency, monitoring quality control programs, and maintaining compliance with regulatory agency requirement. Lastly, you will coordinate and ensure preparation of the department and point of care testing for inspections by regulatory agencies and to coordinate the proficiency testing program.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinates validation & implementation of POCT test processes
  • Coordinates POCT Quality Control and Quality Improvement Processes
  • Ensures IDS compliance with CAP, CLIA, and JCAHO
  • Coordinates and conducts POCT staff training and competency programs 
  • Perform other essential job-related functions
  • Occasional travel required


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Medical Technology, laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science
  • MLS-ASCP - Cert-Medical Lab Scientist American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) 
  • MT-ASCP - Cert-Medical Technician American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • 1 year of laboratory experience
