Summary:

We are in search of a Manager of Nursing for our Level 1 Trauma Program, to manage clinical and personnel activities for Trauma services. The Trauma Program Manager participates and serves as liaison in the coordination and the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care across services areas. Has 24-hour accountability.



Responsibilities :

• Completes Performance Appraisals by established HR deadlines with documentation of mid-year coaching for direct
reports.
• Oversees the coordination of Trauma related events.
• Develops and modifies job descriptions.
• Participates in the gathering of data for approved process improvement projects. Successful completion is evidenced by
participation in meetings with internal stakeholders.



Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred.

  • 5 Years clinical nursing experience or 5 years of trauma experience.
    • Texas RN license required
    • BLS, TNCC and PALS or ENPC required.
    • A strong working knowledge of clinical practice for trauma program, quality improvement concepts, budgeting, and
    healthcare economics that directly or indirectly affect cost/quality assessment.
    • Knowledge in American College of Surgeons (ACS) and Texas department of state health services trauma designation
    requirements.
    • The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
    • Must be self-directed and able to manage responsibilities with little or no supervision.
    • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, customer service and critical thinking as well as strong leadership,
    analytical and problems solving skills.
