We are searching for a Mechanic II– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll perform demanded and scheduled preventative maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include mechanical, utilities, and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory agency codes. Your specific duties would include maintaining facilities and equipment in the hospital or clinical environments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs for mechanical, utilities, and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving maintenance duties for utilities, associated systems, and equipment
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge depths and skills equivalent to a Second-grade Stationary Engineer’s license from the city of Houston
  • Ensure work products meet the expected criteria by performing quality checks
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate projects
  • Consistently demonstrate positive, responsible leadership, and guidance skills


Skills & Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • STATENG2 – Stationary Engineer, 2nd Grade license with the City of Houston
  • 5 years of experience as a mechanical service- related technician
  • High-rise utilities systems and high-rise mechanical systems experience preferred
  • Hospital experience preferred
