We are searching for Industrial Hygienist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll ensure a safe environment for employees, patients, visitors, and contractors through a comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety program.  This position will be reponsible for Lab Safety at the Feigin Center and NRI.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant standards from OSHA, EPA, the Joint Commission and other regulatory and governmental agencies regarding worker safety, hazardous chemical management, and environmental care standards
  • Monitor ongoing safety and injury prevention programs
  • Initiate and assist in risk assessment, risk reduction, and prepare required regulatory reports
  • Develop programs to reduce and eliminate occupational injuries through ergonomic assessments with recommendations for interventions
  • Conduct and document all fire drills in each medical building
  • Provide training, as necessary or as requested for staff related fire and life safety
  • Design, develop, and implement a chemical exposure monitoring program including appropriate records management
  • Conduct internal and annual contractor safety training
  • Immediately implement control measures or halts work when life safety and/or infection control requirements are not being met


  • Thorough knowledge of NFPA, EPA, OSHA, and the Joint Commission requirements associated with hospital activities is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or similar field is required
  • 3 years related experience is required
