Summary:

We are searching for a Director of the Cancer Center — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll direct the administrative and clinical service line programs, provide direction and oversight to the cancer center and its programs. You will also coordinate various programs, resources, and personnel to achieve the output of a cost-effective, state-of-the-art, internationally recognized Children's Cancer Center and Hematology Service. You will be responsible for setting and achieving the strategic plan and maintaining efficient and effective daily operations in conjunction with the goals of the hospital.

 

Texas Children's Hospital has the largest Cancer Center in the nation.

Responsibilities :

  • Assures that strategic plans are developed, implemented, and evaluated in a systematic manner in line with parent institutions strategic plans and initiatives

 

 

  • Ensures appropriate administrative resources, processes, and services are provided in a proactive, user-friendly manner to support all activities of the Cancer Center, including patient care, clinical research, basic research, and education

 

 

  • Ensures the appropriate use and distribution of financial resources for all areas

 

 

  • Develops and implements revenue and expense budgets for parent institutions

 

 

  • Supervises administrative leadership in a manner that enhances them professionally, sets clear role expectations, and holds them accountable

 

 

  • Mentors and develops leadership skills and provides development opportunities for growth

 

 

  • Responsible for assuring our interests are coordinated with parent and external institutions in order to achieve possible results via collaborative efforts

 

 

 

 



Qualifications:

 

 

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration or related field required

 

 

  • Three years in healthcare administration required
