We are searching for an Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - someone who works well in a fast-paced Emergency Room hospital setting. The ER team covers 24/7 so there is a rotating schedule which consists of days, night and weekends. In this position you’ll work under the supervision of the practice physician(s) and work collaboratively with other members of the health care team to render age appropriate care. Practicing under established protocols, you will assumed independent responsibility in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of treatment and procedures.

Responsibilities :

  • Works independently to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients, consulting with physician as needed 
  • Documents information in patient’s chart regarding assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education 
  • Refers to appropriate specialist, as needed 
  • Educates patient/family 
  • Facilitates proper billing 
  • Participates in daily operations of practice 
  • Develops and maintains a caseload of patients based on practice goals and objectives 


Nurse Practitioner

  • A Masters Degree in Nursing 
  • Current, valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) from the Texas Board of Nursing 
  • Current certification – initial certification and maintenance of certification by national certifying bodies recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (NP),
  • Advance practice recognition from the Texas Board of Nursing
  • Fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment 
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for health care providers
  • Knowledge of related OSHA and CLIA guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system 
  • Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation, and dressing changes 
  • Familiarity with all business office machines, i.e., computer, multiline telephone, copier and fax machines

Physician Assistant

  • Master’s degree
  • Licensed and certified as a physician assistant
  • Fundamental knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for health care providers
  • Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
