We are searching for an Access Communication Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll handle requests from physicians, other health care providers, and their staff regarding interaction with our organization. You'll educate and communicate to healthcare providers accurate information regarding how to interact digitally with our organization, and how to obtain information regarding their patient's care.

Responsibilities :

  • Answer inbound and/or make outbound calls to customers with queries in relation to interacting with the hospital to receive care for their patients in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
  • Follow up on any unresolved queries and complete any call back requests
  • Maintain and develop a strong level of knowledge, and keep up to date with any new procedures utilized by the department
  • Offer information and guidance on enrollment in and utilization of the system in accordance with the training provided
  • Engage in technical resources when appropriate to provide technical support
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and guidelines when providing patient information, ensuring that patient privacy rules are maintained
  • Connect providers and their staff to the appropriate resource to meet their need for expedited appointments or connect with a specialist to better expedite the care of patients receiving care at or being referred to our hospital


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years of contact center, customer service, or experience in a health care setting is required
  • Associate’s degree or bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement
  • Understand the importance of employee engagement in the Provide Resource Center environment
