Summary:

We are searching for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll manage daily clinical and personnel activities for the department. You will participate and coordinate the delivery of high quality, family-centered and developmentally appropriate patient care. Lastly, you will collaborate with ancillary departments to ensure timely and appropriate care.

Responsibilities :

  • Works in an outreach department as a concierge service to triage patients
  • Identifies and works with multiple schedules to plan for surgeries
  • Updates all interested parties in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the daily care coordination of patients within the area of clinical subspecialty
  • Coordinates visits with physicians ensures appropriate consultations in the hospital by working with the coordinators
  • Coordinates visits with diagnostic imaging department and appropriate pediatric sub-specialists
  • Ensures appropriate patients are presented at weekly multi-disciplinary case conference for care plan design and care coordination
  • Helps coordinate new and ongoing clinical research studies including IRB enrollment and data collection by working with the research department and quality and outcomes
  • Coordinates nursing care of patients across various departments and sub-specialty services
  • Provides regular written and verbal follow-up with peer established guidelines
  • Ensures accurate, current, and comprehensive database of all subspecialty patients
  • Ensures surgery packets are available to patients
  • Maintains data to assist with patient care
  • Supports staff in the development of their schedules and monitors effectiveness of process on staffing needs
  • Participates in the decision-making processes for hiring new employees


Qualifications:

  • RN (licensed in the state of Texas)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • 3 years of nursing experience
  • Pediatric and Cardiology experience preferred
  • The ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Service-oriented and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of cardiac conditions
