Summary:

We are searching for a Patient Access Coordinator — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll ensure timely and accurate patient registration by serving as the liaison between patient/family, payers, and other health care team members.

Responsibilities :

  • Assists department with all aspects of Patient Access Services
  • Assists both Admissions departments with support, training, and mentoring initiatives
  • Accurately inputs registration information into EPIC
  • Provides liaison support for system issues and customer service issues
  • Actively participates in special assignments, programs, or improvement initiatives with successful outcomes


Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as admission representative/counselor performing all aspects of the registration process is required
  • Knowledge of managed care industry is required
  • Knowledge of indemnity coverage plans, government resources, and initiating authorizations
  • Ability to predict outcomes based on existing processes and/or checks and balances
