We are searching for an Ambulatory Services Rep I — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll provide excellent customer service as the first contact for patients, providers, and staff accessing ambulatory clinics.

Responsibilities :

  • Promotes customer service in the clinic
  • Facilitates the appointment check-in procedure and scheduling
  • Processes patient payments
  • Accurately obtains and collects appropriate up-front fees (co-pays, fees for services) from patient according to preadmission notes in enterprise management system
  • Obtains signatures on required documents
  • Performs order entry and scheduling
  • Completes checkout for patients and families
  • Assists with operations for clinical floors
  • Performs opening and closing business processes for clinic floor/welcome desk


  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in a health care setting, customer service focused industry, administrative/business, or teaching/training role preferred
  • Knowledge of the managed care industry, appointment scheduling, related medical terminology, and customer service concepts
  • Ability to operate proficiently a personal computer and basic office equipment; demonstrate interpersonal skills; demonstrate good verbal communication skills; demonstrate good time management skills and provide excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to demonstrate quick decision-making and self-initiated work behaviors is necessary
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
