We are searching for an Accreditation Specialist — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will work as part of the Quality and Outcomes Management Team to achieve cost-effective health care throughout the IDS and maintain necessary accreditation status for the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Participate in the internal mock survey program, which includes planning, development of tools, training, conducting mock surveys, reporting findings and follow-up as needed
  • Coordinate regulatory educational offerings including internal and external presentations
  • Represent Accreditation in formal and informal settings at and in the healthcare community
  • Actively commit to the on-going development of self and maintain current knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of JC/CMS/TxHHS regulations for all applicable programs, as evidenced by direct observation by leadership
  • Provide input related to the development of the operating budget
  • Act as a Facilitator or Team Leader on projects as assigned


  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing, pharmacy, social sciences (social work), respiratory therapy, health information management, or business administration
  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • CPHQ, RN or other clinical discipline preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ clinical, quality, and/or accreditation experience
  • Strong understanding of healthcare terminology
  • Strong Accreditation Knowledge (ie. Joint commission, EP Standards, CMS COP's)
