We are searching for a School Coordinator - Renal - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist patients/families in maintaining a child's enrollment in school, and provide support for school curriculum.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop lesson plans and provide developmentally appropriate educational services to patient and families
  • Establish and maintain school room and enrollment support
  • Oversee educational volunteers
  • Participate in departmental responsibilities and collaborate with school district
  • Coordinate school services for patient and families
  • Provide educational support through 1:1 sessions or in the TCH school classroom
  • Follow school district enrollment process, when working with patient rerolled in school district
  • Collaborate with volunteer services, school district and volunteer tutors to oversee student tutoring support
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled, and/or reads minutes as noted by attendance
  • Collaborate and work to develop relationships with school district and other school districts around Houston


  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in education preferred
  • Texas State Teacher Certification required
  • 2 years’ experience working in a school setting/system required
