We are searching for a Senior Systems Analyst (Business) - someone who works well in a fast-paced hospital setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for providing IS support to various business-based departments within the Health Plan by effectively providing analysis and managing projects to ensure internal customers receive needed solutions from IS. This involves understanding, analyzing, documenting, and providing solutions for assigned business problems, as well as facilitating and overseeing the hand-off to Development to ensure solutions are implemented appropriately. Project follow-up over time will be required to assess project success.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides information system support for the Health Plan information system applications used by various business-based departments
  • Provides expertise in the definition and interpretation of business data required for distribution to both internal and external clients
  • Establishes, monitors, and adjusts performance goals


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, health care administration, business, or other related-field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management, as well as experience analyzing and implementing solutions in a health care environment
  • Experience working with IS resources and leading teams
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry in general, as well as specific knowledge of the health insurance environment
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and customer service skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)
  • Ability to work independently and be effective in ambiguous and/or changing situations
  • Ability to lead teams towards a common goal and produce measurable results in a timely and cost effective manner
